Aloe extract liquid for injection is prescribed in ophthalmic practice for the treatment of blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, opacity of the vitreous, my

opic chorioretinitis, iritis, pigment retinitis, Inflammatory processes of the vascular tract of the eye, with atrophy of the optic nerve, progressive myopia, trachoma, etc.

The drug is also used in the treatment of diseases of the female genital area, bronchial asthma, scar tissue changes, trophic ulcers of various origin, scleroderma, tuberculosis lesions, neurology in the treatment of peripheral neuritis, radiculoneuritis, demyelinating diseases, residual phenomena of the transferred polyneuritis, strokes.

How to use Aloe

How to use and dose.

In the presence of a precipitate, the ampoule should be shaken before opening to form a uniform suspension.

Aloe vera extract is administered to adults in a subcutaneous dose of 1 ml per day( maximum daily dose is 3 to 4 ml), children under 5 years of age are 0.2-0.3 ml, and over 5 years 0.5 ml. The course of treatment - 30 - 50 injections. When painful injections are administered previously 0.5 ml of 2% solution of novocaine. Repeated courses of treatment are carried out after a two-, three-month break.

For tuberculous lesions of the respiratory tract, the drug is started with 0.2 ml, gradually increasing the dose.

In bronchial asthma, the drug is administered for 10-15 days to 1-1.5 ml daily, and then once every 2 days, the course of treatment is 30 to 35 injections.

Application features. Use with caution in subcutaneous administration in children.

Side effects of Aloe

Possible fever, skin allergic rashes.

To whom is contraindicated Aloe

Severe cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, pregnancy( especially 2 half), acute gastrointestinal disorders, severe forms of nephritis.

Interaction Aloe

Aloe potentiates the action of laxatives, as well as drugs that stimulate blood formation.
