How to use Tablets from motion sickness and nausea:

Inside, regardless of food intake.

To prevent nausea, vomiting in sea / air sickness.

Adults: 50 mg( 1 table) for 30-60 minutes.before the trip, then as necessary, 50-100 mg every 4-6 hours, but not more than 400 mg / day.

Children: 2-6 years - 12.5-25 mg( 1 / 4-1 / 2 table) every 6-8 hours as needed, but not more tha

n 75 mg / day.

6-12 years - 25-50 mg( 1 / 2-1 table) every 6-8 hours as needed, but not more than 150 mg / day.

With vertigo( including Meniere's syndrome), nausea / vomiting, unrestrained vomiting of pregnant women.

Adults: 50-100 mg( 1-2 tablets) every 4-6 hours if necessary, not exceeding the maximum daily dose of 400 mg( 8 tablets).

Dimenhydrinate may cause drowsiness, so when taking the drug, you can not perform work that requires increased attention and quick reaction( for example, driving).

Elderly patients: the initial dose is 25 mg( 1/2 tablets).

Efficacy and safety in newborns and children under 2 years of age have not been established.

For liver failure, the dose should be reduced by half.

In case of renal failure, the dose is normal.

Avoid alcohol while treating with dimenhydrate.

The drug is not recommended for women who are breast-feeding because of the risk of side effects such as irritation or irritability in infants.

Side effects of tablets from motion sickness and nausea.

Some patients have dry mouth, in rare cases - a violation of accommodation, headache, drowsiness and general malaise, especially when taking large doses of the drug. These phenomena occur when the dose is reduced or the drug is withdrawn.

Tablets from motion sickness and nausea are contraindicated for hypersensitivity to dimenhydrinate, dimenhydramine and 8-chlorotheophilin, in 1 trimester of pregnancy, and children up to 2 years.

Interaction of tablets against motion sickness and nausea.

Do not use concurrently with other antihistamines, hypnotics, sedatives, antipsychotics, opioid receptor agonists, tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, bismuth drugs, analgesics. Not compatible with ototoxic antibiotics( aminoglycosides), scopolamine.

Overdose Tablets from motion sickness and nausea.

Symptoms: drowsiness, dizziness, coma.

Treatment: there is no specific antidote. Symptomatic therapy is aimed at the removal of clinical manifestations of an overdose: gastric lavage, the appointment of enterosorbents, etc.
